Pixel's room

It's the bed I sleep in. And look! Behind it is my comfy chair. I sometimes read in that chair. Oh, and when the weather is good, I move it onto the balcony, so I can sit outside, for example with Maaike's laptop. It was hot when I took these pictures, as you can see by the fan going at full speed near the balcony door.

Aah, my desk and mighty bookcase. On my desk you can see Hobbes' monitor with Marvin on it guarding it. The bookcase is stacked with books, my stereo and all my cd's. And if you look carefully you can see the christmastree lights suspended from the ceiling, which, in dark times, are my main source of lightning.

This is the bookcase above my bed. It's packed mostly with literature of the more demanding kind. The panda in the bookcase Marjolein gave to me a long long time ago. I see the the wrenchlike thingy hanging from the closet, belonging to my father, is still there. The poster with the jester on it is from the first LAMDA play I went to (a Shakespeare). And the dragonhead below it is a relic from a scouting activity long ago. It encrypted a map.

A shot of my tap and the mirror above my sink, snuck in between my table and one of my wardrobes. And yikes, Robert Redford has still managed to keep himself stuck to my wardrobe after all these years in the "Sneakers" filmposter on the left.

A couple of years ago, coming home rather drunk from a night of partying, I dragged half a surfboard, which had been lying around the trashcans, all the way up the stairs. I have yet to be drunk enough again to get myself to drag it back down the stairs. The Winnie-the-Pooh drawing which was on the board that separates my balcony from the next has been long gone. Washed away by the rain. The rope tied to the board is still there though, after all these years.

A picture of my balcony in the setting sun. With all the hot weather we've been having lately, the balcony looks tidy enough. But don't let looks deceive you. One rainshower is all it takes to turn it into a slippery mudbath again.
Also, note the cute bear sticking to the window. My girlfriend gave me that. *waits for everybody to go "aaawww"*
